Establishing a Supplier ID to Process an SUB

Establishing a Supplier ID to Process an SUB

Getting Started

Units must have an internal supplier ID and chartfields established in order to use the SUB process. There are two main types of internal suppliers: Recharge and Rebill.

Establish a New Recharge Supplier ID and Chartfields

If requesting a new recharge supplier ID, the request needs to be submitted to Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis and should include information for requesting recharge chartfields. After the request is approved by Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis, SSC Accounting Customer Service will establish the recharge supplier ID and the chartfields, and then grant the SUB Loader Access. Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis then sends the entire packet with the chartfields, supplier ID, recharge ID and rate approval letter to the requesting unit.

Request a New Recharge Rate

If you need to request a new recharge rate, please contact Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis.

External Customers

If you plan to sell goods or services to external customers (outside of the University of Michigan, within the Agency Fund or to Alumni, Students, Faculty and Staff), please contact the Accounting Customer Service Team at SSC for assistance.

Establish a New Rebill Supplier ID

If requesting a new rebill supplier ID, the request needs to be submitted to the Accounting Customer Service Team at SSC and should include information for requesting rebill chartfields (if needed). They will establish the rebill supplier ID and the chartfields, and then grant the SUB Loader Access.
