New COVID Program Code Added to M-Pathways
To assist units in tracking the impact associated with the COVID-19 virus, we have created a new program code, COVID, within M-Pathways. This new code can be used to identify incremental costs (i.e. additional costs above and beyond those expected to be incurred under normal operations) associated with the university's response to the outbreak.
Units may now open chartfields/shortcodes mapped to the new COVID program code. If your unit has already opened a set of chartfields to track this activity, such as a new program code, project/grant or dept id, please feel free to contact the Shared Services Center (SSC) for assistance in remapping previously recorded transactions as appropriate.
Since the new program code was introduced, we've received a number of questions from the university community about how to best use the code. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a set of Frequently Asked Questions — which is available on the FAQ section of the Finance website — to assist you in using the new COVID program code.
If you have any questions regarding the use of this new program code, please contact Kandie Little, Accounting Operations Senior Manager, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
